Club Leadership

The Current officers were installed at an Installation Banquet on October 7, 2009.  The outgoing Secretary, David Boulton, installed the newly  fficers for the Kiwanis Club of Arlington for the next calendar year, October 1st, 2009 thru September 30, 2010.

Following is a list of the officers that were installed:

President: Sue Weiss

Vice President: Vickie Solla 

Secretary: Jan Bauer

Treasurer: Deena Jones, Pastor Arlington United Church

Past President: Michael Prihoda, Arlington, Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce 

 

The Kiwanis Club of Arlington Board of Directors meet once a month, before the regular meeting, on the first Wednesday at 6:00pm for dinner.   The meeting is held at the same location as the regularly scheduled meeting.  Each of the Board Members and the Officers conduct the business as presented in the Agenda as prepared by the President and Secretary.  Any action items which require discussion or approval by the boad are then presented to the membership for their approval.  The Treasurer usually presents a financial report for the board meeting.

Ongoing actvities of the Kiwanis Club of Arlington include the annual Holiday Swag and Wreath sales project, that supports the activities fund and the Annual 4th of July Auction, that supports the scholarship fund.   Other projects are funded as requests are received via mail or personal attention and then are discussed  for action by the Board of Directors.

The Kiwanis Top 10 priorities for 2007-2009 are:

     1. Improve the membership experience

     2. Grow existing clubs

     3. Open new clubs

     4. Develop leaders at all levels

     5. Create the next generation of programs

     6. Increase non-dues revenue

     7. Improve operations

     8. Maximize communications, branding and PR

     9. Leveage technology in all areas

    10. Create unexpected value for clubs and members
